The majority of the dancers that bring joy into studios all over the country graduate from high school and their life as a dancer is done.  However, this is not the case for some…  There are always those who are extremely passionate about the art, who go on to teach dance to others, continue their dance education at a university or an arts school, or find a way to keep dancing into their adult years.  To watch your dancers learn and grow throughout their time at your studio is an amazing feeling in itself; but when one of your dancers graduates and hits the dance world head-on, you can’t help but feel proud, excited, and overjoyed of what your dancer is, has, or will accomplish in the years to come.

Throughout the years at the Eau Claire School of Dance, many of our dancers have taken the leap into the outside dance world.  Some have gone on to dance at Universities all over the United States, like Arizona State University, the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.  Others have danced for Collegiate and Professional Dance Teams, like Arizona State University, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, St. Cloud State University, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the NBA Minnesota Timberwolves Dance Team, and the NBA Milwaukee Bucks Dance Team.  We have also had ECSOD graduates dance professionally for Walt Disney World, performing in various shows and parades at the resort.

Currently, former ECSOD student and instructor, Brian Day, is doing just that!  Earlier this fall, Brian landed a part in the “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade” in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.  The Parade shows twice per night, from December 20-31st and will air on ABC, Christmas Day.

Below is a video of this years Parade, which was filmed November 8th.  You can see Brian Day at around the 8 minute mark, after Cinderella’s Carriage.  🙂
